We are thrilled to continue the tradition that is Storylines Literature Festival. Once again, we will have top authors, illustrators and storytellers joining us from around Australia on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 November 2016.
Storylines promotes a love of children’s and young adults’ literature by bringing in authors and storytellers across different mediums from around the country together over two days of fun filled interactive storytelling that promotes the importance of a lifelong love of literature. What a great pleasure it is to be able to bring together students to meet the very people who write especially for them, to talk to, ask questions of and interact with them.
Over the two days, experience creative writing workshops, poetry promenades, meet the author sessions, illustration workshops, storytelling through dance, drama and puppetry, lunch time entertainment and much, much, more. One thing is certain we will have something for everyone with a diverse line up previously including: Jackie French, Robert Drewe, Andy Griffiths, Hannie Rayson, Hetty Verolme, Briony Stewart, Felice Arena, Kate McCaffrey, Isobelle Carmody, Nandi Chinna, Deb Fitzpatrick, James Foley, Mark Greenwood, Norman Jorgensen, Guundie Kuchling, Joy Lefroy, Mike Lefroy, Frane´ Lessac, Laurel Nannup, Ros Thomas and Dianne Wolfer. We also have had Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, the Temple of Fine Arts and the Film and Television Institute, and of course … Jessica Watson.
Bookings for the festival will be open in Term 3. Keep updated by ‘liking’ our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/storylinesfestivalWA/
