All Saints’ College is committed to growing its Performing Arts program by partnering with professional and industry recognised artists.

We are delighted to host director Lisa Scott-Murphy for our July season to workshop with actors and direct a contemporary physical theatre production.

Actors will perform Ten To A Room on the stage of our award-winning Centre for Performing Arts on Saturday, 18 July.

ABOUT THE SHOW

A community wakes up to find new arrivals have moved in next door – lots of them. This theatrical work will investigate how each member of both groups handle the changing circumstances of their life and future. The arrivals are strangers, even to each other and must share a small room and figure out a new way of living. Funny, poignant, desperate and exhilarating, Ten To A Room is created in response to the asylum seeker and refugee situation in Australia.

This is a contemporary physical theatre production and will call on strong acting and dynamic movement. Performers will create imagery and sequences that speak of the inner life of the characters. No experience in movement is necessary however a sense of humour, physical imagination and a willingness to give theatrical ideas a go is essential.
