SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2018

The All Saints’ College Scholarship Program exists in order to acknowledge excellence and in order to support a community characterised by diversity – diversity of abilities and talents, interests, backgrounds and so on. The Program aims to recognise students who will make a strong and positive contribution to the life of All Saints’ College. To that end, we are pleased to offer the following scholarships for entry to the College in 2018:

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (Entry to Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10 in 2018)

Applications close: Friday, 17 February 2017 – 5.00pm
Examination Date: Saturday, 25 March 2017

Please note, late applications will not be accepted.

Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, as evidenced in the student’s performance in the scholarship examination and interview, and are available to students entering Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10 in 2018. The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee.

The Old Saints’ Scholarship is offered on behalf of the alumni of All Saints’ College, and may be awarded to a child of former students (Old Saint) entering Year 7 in 2018. The recipient of this scholarship will be recognised as having sound academic results and strong community values. Further the recipient might be a young person who would otherwise not be able to join this community due to financial constraints. The value of the Old Saints’ Scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee.

 

 

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP (Entry to Year 7 to Year 11 in 2018)

Applications close: Friday, 17 February 2017 – 5.00pm
Audition dates: Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 March 2017

Please note, late applications will not be accepted.

The Music Scholarship is for students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2018. It recognises an outstanding musician who has attained a high level of performance.  The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee and 50% of the 30 minute music lesson tuition fees. The scholarship is for the duration of the student’s attendance at the College and is conditional upon ongoing excellence in, and commitment to, the All Saints’ Music Program. An audition with the Director of Music for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships.

Please note that it is a condition that Music Scholarship recipients are active members of at least one College ensemble or choir, and be prepared to participate in music camps and recitals. (No academic examinations are required.)

Eligibility for Music Scholarships:

For students who are outstanding musicians, and who have attained a high level of performance.

Piano

A performance level of at least Grade 7 AMEB standard is expected from applicants.

Violin, Cello and Viola:

A performance level of at least Grade 4 AMEB standard is expected from applicants.

Woodwind and Brass Instruments:

As students usually commence learning a wind instrument in Years 4 or 5, evidence of outstanding progress within the time of learning is required.

Singers

Evidence of outstanding performances in Eisteddfods, or membership of a regional choir (e.g. Gondwana choir).

Percussionists and Guitar

Evidence of outstanding performance.

Students who play two instruments should have a performance level of at least Grade 4 in one of the instruments.

Whilst achievement in formal music examinations is not mandatory; students should be able to demonstrate the required level of performance.

To apply, please complete the application form and send with your supporting documentation to the College Registrar by no later than Friday, 17 February 2017:

  • Copies of any awards for musical performance e.g. Eisteddfods
  • Copies of recent music examination results
  • Copies of the applicant’s two most recent academic reports
  • Copy of the applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
  • Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate (not original)

 

 

PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP

(Drama and Dance- Entry to Year 7 to Year 11 in 2018)

Applications close:  Friday, 17 February 2017 – 5.00pm
Audition date: 
Thursday, 23 March 2017

All Saints’ College is well known for its exceptional programs in Dance and Drama, and the College is pleased to offer to dedicated and talented students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2018 the opportunity to join the program which is housed in the College’s Centre for Performing Arts.

Scholarships are awarded following an audition process. The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee. The scholarship is for the duration of the student’s attendance at the College and is conditional upon ongoing excellence in, and commitment to the All Saints’ College Performing Arts program.

Please note that it is a condition that Performing Arts Scholarship recipients are active members of the cocurricular Performing Arts program even if the student is not directly involved in a Performing Arts event as a performer. (No academic examinations are required.)


 

INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP 2018

Friday, 18 August 2017 – 5.00pm

The Indigenous Scholarship exists to recognise a student with a demonstrated commitment to their community and is of Indigenous descent. Students will be selected on the basis of academic potential, personal commitment and family support for an All Saints’ College education. This scholarship is for students entering Year 5 or above in 2018 and covers up to 100% tuition fees (dependent on financial statements) and may include other expenses including year level and other charges, text books, stationery, uniforms, ICT charge, camp costs and other incidentals. (No academic examinations are required.)

To apply, please complete the application form, attach your supporting documents and send to the College Registrar by no later than Friday, 18 August 2017:

Applications may be submitted online, by mail or in person to All Saints’ College and we encourage online applications wherever possible.

  • Copies of the applicant’s two most recent academic reports
  • Copy of the applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
  • A letter of endorsement from a community leader/supporting family
  • A letter of endorsement from the student’s current Principal
  • Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
