The Running Club meets on Tuesday mornings and is be led by qualified experts from the Running Centre. Whilst looking to improve their cardiovascular fitness, one of the main goals of the Running Club is to increase student knowledge and understanding of race strategy, biomechanics and physiology which will allow them to perform at the peak of their abilities and continue to push boundaries. Sessions focus on a variety of different skills and training principles such as: strength, agility, and interval training with a strong focus on technique.
All completed runs will be recorded on Strava which tracks athletic activity via GPS, allowing students to track your progress, set realistic goals, analyse and dissect each run and monitor training as they approach important events.
