SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2022

The All Saints’ College Scholarship Program exists in order to acknowledge excellence and in order to support a community characterised by diversity – diversity of abilities and talents, interests, backgrounds and so on. The Program aims to recognise students who will make a strong and positive contribution to the life of All Saints’ College.

To that end, we are pleased to offer the following scholarships for entry to the College in 2022:

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (Entry to Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10 in 2022)

Applications open:   Monday, 2 November 2020

Applications close:  Friday, 16 April 2021 – 5.00pm
Examination Date:   Saturday, 8 May 2021

Please note, late applications will not be accepted.

Academic Scholarships are awarded, on the basis, of academic excellence, as evidenced in the student’s performance in the scholarship examination and interview, and are available to students entering Year 5, Year 7 and Year 10 in 2022. The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee.

To apply, please register via the link below and send the following supporting documents to the College Registrar by no later than Friday, 16 April 2021:

  • Copy of the student’s two most recent academic reports
  • Copy of the student’s most recent NAPLAN results
  • Copy of the student’s birth certificate

 

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP (Entry to Year 7 to Year 11 in 2022)

Applications open:   Monday, 2 November 2020

Applications close:   Friday, 23 April 2021 – 5.00pm
Audition dates:         Saturday, 22 May and Sunday, 23 May 2021

Please note, late applications will not be accepted.

The Music Scholarship is for students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2022. It recognises an outstanding musician who has attained a high level of performance.  The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee and 100% of the 30 -minute music lesson tuition fees. The scholarship is for the duration of the student’s attendance at the College and is conditional upon ongoing excellence in, and commitment to, the All Saints’ Music Program. An audition with the Director of Music for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships.

Please note that it is a condition that music scholarship recipients are active members of the College Choir and at least one other College ensemble. They should also choose Music elective classes at least until the end of Year 9 or Year 10 and be prepared to participate in Music recitals and Music camps. (No academic examinations are required.)

An annual review may be conducted to discuss the student’s attitude, activity and contribution to their scholarship.

Eligibility for Music Scholarships:

For students who are outstanding musicians, and who have attained a high level of performance.

Piano

A performance level of at least Grade 7 AMEB standard is expected from applicants.

Violin, Cello and Viola:

A performance level of at least Grade 4 AMEB standard is expected from applicants.

Woodwind and Brass Instruments:

As students usually commence learning a wind instrument in Years 4 or 5, evidence of outstanding progress within the time of learning is required.

Singers

Evidence of outstanding performances in Eisteddfods, or membership of a regional choir (e.g. Gondwana choir).

Percussionists

Evidence of outstanding performance.

Students who play two instruments should have a performance level of at least Grade 4 in one of the instruments.

Whilst achievement in formal music examinations is not mandatory; students should be able to demonstrate the required level of performance.

  • Copies of recent music examination results
  • Copies of the applicant’s two most recent academic reports

  • Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate (not original)

PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP

(Drama and Dance - Entry to Year 7 to Year 11 in 2022)

Applications open:   Monday, 2 November 2020

Applications close:  Friday, 23 April 2021 – 5.00pm
Audition date:          Saturday, 15 May 2021

All Saints’ College is well known for its exceptional programs in Dance and Drama, and the College is pleased to offer to dedicated and talented students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2022 the opportunity to join the program which is housed in the College’s Centre for Performing Arts.

Scholarships are awarded following an audition process. The value of the scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee. The scholarship is for the duration of the student’s attendance at the College and is conditional upon ongoing excellence in, and commitment to the All Saints’ College Performing Arts program.

 Please note that it is a condition that Performing Arts Scholarship recipients are active members of the cocurricular Performing Arts program even if the student is not directly involved in a Performing Arts event as a performer.

An annual review may be conducted to discuss the student’s attitude, activity and contribution to their scholarship.

OLD SAINTS’ SCHOLARSHIP (Entry to Year 7 in 2022)

Applications close:   Friday, 26 February 2021 – 5.00pm

The Old Saints’ Scholarship is offered on behalf of the alumni of All Saints’ College and may be awarded to a child of former students (Old Saint) entering Year 7 in 2022. The recipient of this scholarship will be recognised as having sound academic results and strong community values. Further, the recipient might be a young person who would otherwise not be able to join this community due to financial constraints. The value of the Old Saints’ Scholarship is generally 50% of the College’s academic tuition fee.

To apply, please complete the application form, attach the supporting documents (as below) and send to the College Registrar by no later than Friday, 26 February 2021:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Two written personal references that speak to the student’s experience in community service, leadership skills and commitment qualities in other areas such as sports, club involvements etc.
  • Copy of the student’s two most recent academic reports
  • Copy of the student’s most recent NAPLAN results
  • Copy of the student’s birth certificate

INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOLARSHIP 

(Entry to Year 5 to 11 for students new to the College in 2022)

As part of our commitment to fostering future-enabled, creative-thinking entrepreneurs who see problems as opportunities and who model a ‘startup’ mindset, All Saints’ College, in partnership with Spacecubed and Bloom, is proud to invite applications for our Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship.

Students entering Years 5 to 11 new to the College in 2022, who have a demonstrated interest in and passion for innovation, new and creative ways of thinking and doing things, and with a strong social conscience, are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to join our community and to be mentored by some of our nation’s leading entrepreneurs.

  • Two written references that speak to the student’s passion for, and skills in, innovation and entrepreneurship

INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP 2022 (Entry to Year 5 or above in 2022)

The Indigenous Scholarship exists to recognise a student with a demonstrated commitment to their community and is of Indigenous descent. Students will be selected on the basis of academic potential, personal commitment and family support for an All Saints’ College education. This scholarship is for students entering Year 5 or above in 2022 and can cover up to 100% tuition fees (dependant on financial statements) and may include other expenses including year level and other charges, textbooks, stationery, uniforms, ICT charge, camp costs and other incidentals. (No academic examinations are required.)

To apply, please complete the application form, attach your supporting documents and send to the College Registrar by no later than Friday, 26 February 2021:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Copies of the applicant’s two most recent academic reports
  • Copy of the applicant’s most recent NAPLAN results
  • A letter of endorsement from a community leader/supporting family
  • A letter of endorsement from the student’s current Principal
  • Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
