Acknowledging the generosity of the Sr Eileen Heath Scholarship Fund

We are pleased to share that the College has again been successful in receiving a scholarship through the Sr Eileen Heath Scholarship Fund, a program offered by the Anglican Church. This generous funding is awarded to families in need with bursary support to continue their child’s education.

The Sr Eileen Heath Scholarship Fund honours the legacy of Sister Eileen Heath MBE, an Anglican Deaconess whose life was devoted to service, education and social justice. In 1946, Sister Eileen established the St Mary’s Church of England Hostel in Alice Springs, providing a safe and nurturing environment for remote Aboriginal children to access education. Her commitment to equity and compassion extended throughout her life, including roles in welfare services, prisoner rehabilitation and youth development.

Sister Eileen’s enduring commitment to equity and opportunity continues through this scholarship fund, which has now supported over 80 disadvantaged students to access education in Anglican schools across Australia.

We are deeply grateful to the Anglican Church and the Sr Eileen Heath Scholarship Fund for their generous support. Their contribution provides meaningful assistance to families within our community, and reflects their commitment to compassion, inclusion and opportunity.
