All Saints' College Powers Ahead with New EV Charging Station
All Saints' College is embracing a greener future with the installation of an Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charger. This exciting development is part of the recently expanded Junior School car park, which was designed with sustainability in mind.
Thanks to a grant from the State Government’s second round of EV funding, the College has installed a 50-kilowatt DC fast charger. The funds for the College’s contribution were sourced from the sale of Large-Scale Generating Certificates from our solar panel installations on our Centre for Performing Arts and Aquatic Centre.
We are pleased to announce that the charger is available from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, at a rate of 35c per kWh for a maximum of one hour. To prevent vehicles from lingering beyond the charging period, idle time is charged at 30c per minute, capped at $20.
Drivers can access the charger via the Wevolt app and the station provides two parking bays and chargers with CCS2-type plugs.
We are pleased that, with this new service, we are taking another step towards a more sustainable future, offering convenient charging for EV drivers within the community.
Please contact facilities@allsaints.wa.edu.au if you are a current parent or staff member to access a discounted rate.
