Congratulations to Esther Hill, All Saints’ College’s Director of Beyond Boundaries Institute, on being named a recipient of The Australian Council for Educational Leaders WA Certificate of Excellence in Educational Leadership Award.  

This award is presented each year to an educator who has demonstrated excellent leadership in implementing an educational initiative, conducting research and/or influencing educational policy leading to improved educational outcomes for students in any educational setting. ACEL is Australia’s leading independent body for educational leadership. 

Esther’s commitment to creating learning environments that nurture students to be confident global citizens who make a positive difference in the world has seen her lead several initiatives at All Saints’ College.  

Passionate about reimagining education and creating spaces and communities in which young people can thrive, Esther is an influential figure in her field and is dedicated to bringing about impactful change in education. Committed to innovation and future-focused learning, Esther is not afraid to push beyond the boundaries of education and constantly question what education can and should be.  

The Beyond Boundaries Institute brings together the creative and expert minds of national and international thought leaders who add value to All Saints’ College and The Studio School staff, as well as the wider education community. 

In recent years, Esther has also led the partnership between All Saints’ College and the University of Melbourne on the ground-breaking New Metrics for Success project, in which All Saints’ College is embarking on an action research program with (initially) Year 8 students to explore new measures of success in education. The project sees learning areas combine into cross-curricular teams that work with students on the development of complex capabilities in rich, deep, project-based learning experiences.  

The ACEL WA Awards were held on 8 November at the Bendat Parent and Community Centre, with the Hon Dr Tony Buti MLC, Minister for Education and Training; Aboriginal Affairs; Citizenship and Multicultural Interests officiating as guest speaker and presenter of the awards. 

Earlier this year, Esther was also named in the 2023 Edleaders Impact List for her outstanding and dynamic leadership and passion for education.
