Recognising Talent with Connected 9 Student Awards
Having run for nine years, our annual Connected exhibitions are an opportunity to collaborate with our friends at Nulsen Disability Services. We have raised close $28,000 for Nulsen since our inaugural exhibition in 2016. The strength of our bond and community spirit is clearly reflected in the collaborative effort and support from both All Saints' College and Nulsen Communities.
We would like to recognise the students, staff and community members who created beautiful works of art for the Connected 9 Auction. There are numerous incredible displays of creativity and talent, and we'd like to highlight the winners of the student awards:
Year 1-2 Winner – Alice (Year 2)
‘Ice-Cream, Ice-Cream’ (artwork #59)
Judges Comment – a playful composition of colours and repeated patterns. Yay for ice-cream!

Year 3-4 Winner – Emily (Year 4)
‘Into the Blue’ (artwork #99)
Judges Comment – a creative use of recycled materials highlighting an important environmental issue.

Year 5-6 Winner – Emily (Year 5)
‘Candy Land’ (artwork #62)
Judges Comment – an imaginative, creative and sweet landscape using a soft pastel colour palette.

Year 7-8 Winner – Elleen (Year 7)
‘Candy Sweet Nostalgia’ (artwork #71)
Judges Comment – refined painting skills demonstrated with a sophisticated composition

Year 9 Winner – Eva
‘Art Like’ (artwork #118)
Judges Comment – discerning and sophisticated painting techniques and application which creates a soothing atmosphere tying concept and subject matter cleverly together.

Year 10 Winner – Tyler
‘Sweet Dreams’ (artwork #113)
Judges Comment – a playful painting using light and shadow in a refined manner. Background is well considered.

Year 11 Winner – Madison
‘Serenity’ (artwork #52)

Year 12 Winner – Genevieve
‘Once Was’ (artwork #50)
Judges Comment – sophisticated handling of medium creating a beautiful textured 3D surface, reminding us of the fragility of our reef system.

The standard and quality of this year's exhibition was outstanding, and judges found selecting winners for each category to be a long and difficult process. We would like to recognise the highly commended pieces nominated by judges:
