Speed, Spirit, and Sportsmanship: Swimming Achievements at ASC

The pools have been buzzing with energy as All Saints’ College students dived into a series of exciting swimming events to kick off the year. Whether racing for House points or gearing up for interschool competition, the swimmers have shown amazing enthusiasm and determination.

The Senior School Interhouse Swimming Carnival set the tone for an action-packed year, with fast laps, fierce competition, and plenty of House pride. From record-breaking performances to new novelty races and team challenges, the carnival was a celebration of skill, determination, and camaraderie. Congratulations to Cowan House, who claimed the top spot for the second year in a row, and to O'Connor House, who were named the loudest and proudest winners of the Spirit Shield!

Our Junior School swimmers also took to the water with enthusiasm and determination. The Junior School Swimming Carnival saw students of all abilities jump in, race, and cheer on their peers, showcasing the importance of participation, perseverance, and House spirit. We are delighted to announce that O'Connor House has won the House Champion Trophy! Congratulations to all O'Connor House students for their incredible performances, dedication, and teamwork which led them to claim this well-deserved title. Additionally, a huge congratulations to Murdoch House for securing the Spirit Trophy! This award recognises the house that demonstrated the most enthusiasm, encouragement, and passion throughout the day, and Murdoch House students truly embodied these qualities with their unwavering support and high energy.

Following these thrilling carnivals, selected students from Years 4-6 represented All Saints' College at the IPSHA Co-Educational Swimming Carnival on Friday 7 March. Our team showcased incredible skill, determination, and sportsmanship, making us proud with their impressive performances. From powerful strokes to unwavering team spirit, our students embodied the essence of sportsmanship and teamwork, encouraging one another with enthusiasm and pride. The carnival was a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our swimmers, who not only competed at a high level but also demonstrated outstanding camaraderie and support for their peers. The energy at the poolside was electrifying, with students cheering each other on and celebrating every achievement together. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who attended and supported our swimmers throughout the event. Your encouragement and presence meant the world to our students and contributed to the wonderful atmosphere of the day.

Following these exciting events, the All Saints’ College ACC Swimming Squad is now in full training mode as they prepare for the ACC Interschool Swimming Carnival tomorrow. Representing ASC in Division A, our swimmers have been committed to honing their speed, technique, and endurance through early morning training sessions every Wednesday and Friday. Support our students by cheering them on from the sidelines!
