Student Author Amin (Year 12) Empowers Peers with New Book, Teenage Champion
Year 12 All Saints’ College student Amin has combined academic excellence with a passion for personal development with the release of his best-selling book, Teenage Champion — a motivational guide aimed at helping young people unlock their potential.
More than just a student success story, Teenage Champion is the result of Amin’s dedicated mindset and belief that thoughts shape reality. Drawing from techniques such as visualisation, seeing his goals clearly and imagining them already achieved, Amin crafted a book that reflects both personal conviction and universal encouragement.
A key influence in Amin’s journey was the teaching of renowned self-development expert Bob Proctor. Introduced to these ideas by his parents, Amin began studying the habits and strategies of successful individuals, absorbing their techniques and implementing them in his own life. “Once I applied their methods, I developed the desire to help my peers with what I've discovered. It's crucial to have a goal, the ability to remove self-doubt, and most importantly, the belief in yourself.”
This mindset powered Amin’s approach to school, and in Year 11 he set his sights high. "I told myself I will be the best in the subject, and the best in the year." True to that belief, Amin was named Dux of Year 11 and undertook Year 12 Chemistry a year early, earning a Subject Certificate of Excellence from the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) for his outstanding performance.
Outside the classroom, Amin saw writing Teenage Champion as an entrepreneurial service project for his community. He broke the book down into manageable milestones and worked steadily toward his goal, using his learnings and new techniques, and writing the book bit by bit while still maintaining success in the classroom. The result was Teenage Champion becoming a bestseller in two categories, with readers resonating with its clear, practical advice and Amin’s authentic voice.
His next steps include expanding the book’s reach through sales at Runway (the College’s student-led business platform) and continuing to promote the book to broader audiences.
At the heart of Amin’s story is a powerful message for his peers: “Take action — you’re capable of more than you think.”
