Senior School

An ATAR+ Approach to Education

With over 800 students and 110 educators, Senior School, is an environment where all students are known, valued and heard. At the heart of the Senior School experience is wellbeing, and our core focus is on making sure that your young person feels safe and connected as they journey through the Senior School. Supported by a team of pastoral care and teaching and learning specialists, our structures, pedagogy and holistic approach are designed to recognise and grow the individual student’s talents and interests

Student choice and agency play an increasing role as your child moves through the Senior School, with personalised pathways brokered, then developed. Our ‘stage not age’ approach sees students offered advanced placement and acceleration where appropriate with a unique timetable structure in place to facilitate this movement.

Personalised Pathways

At All Saints' College, we offer personalised pathways for Year 9 and 10 students, allowing them to learn at their own pace, based on their unique skills and passions. This approach fosters both academic growth and wellbeing, moving away from the traditional 'one-size-fits-all' education model.

Our ATAR+ approach enables students to negotiate a unique pathway for them through Years 11 and 12, offering flexibility to pursue ATAR, General, Enterprise, or Hybrid options. While many students aim for top ATAR scores, we recognise the value of diverse pathways and tailor programs to meet individual goals, from combining General and ATAR courses to completing Certificates and Traineeships.

Students can earn qualifications through TAFE, private RTOs, or School-based Traineeships, all contributing to their WACE. Leadership and service opportunities foster critical thinking, empathy, and employability skills, while ensuring student voices are heard.

Every student enjoys a separate measure of success and is encouraged to engage in the vast number of leadership, social enterprise, service and cocurricular opportunities available. Throughout all of this we have a keen focus on relationships, with each other and our families, plus committing to a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at All Saints’ College.

Students are introduced, in more detail, to project-based learning, with a focus on innovation and enterprise and taught how to become both problem-finders and problem-solvers. The transferrable skills and capabilities needed in the future of work are actively taught through the curriculum and students begin to display their learnings from inquiry projects and other activity into e-portfolios which are living documents, ready for potential partners or employers to access.

Our Year 9 Outdoor Learning Program immerses students in the stunning Kalbarri National Park, embracing a ‘Slow Pedagogy’ philosophy that encourages intentional learning and self-reflection. The Year 10 program builds on this by offering eight diverse small-group experiences across Western Australia's South West.

A range of electives are available for Year 9 and 10 students, encouraging them to explore new interests and gain diverse skills. The subject array for Years 11 and 12 is diverse, allowing students to tailor their final years, balancing their passions and future aspirations.

Beyond the College

All Saints’ graduates leave the College having experienced a wealth of opportunities both within and beyond the classroom. With strong values, a sense of responsibility to serve their community and success in their chosen pathway, our graduates are well equipped to be excited and invigorated by how they can make a positive difference in our world.

On graduation, ASC students become an Old Saint – one of our alumni forever. This opens up a world of opportunities to connect with other former students across Australia and the world as our young Old Saints seek their own unique path in life. The College actively engages with our Old Saints in a variety of ways – including by way of an internships program – for mutual benefit, and we regularly welcome former students back to campus for a range of reasons, including to partner with, or mentor, our current students.
